Regarding the acts of terrorism in France...
I have not seen the news as to what has happened here, but it sounds terrible (I caught the gist of it).
I'd like to express my concerns. I don't necessarily like to provoke debate nor to stir up trouble but I often do
so, so I just want to be cafeful here... However, I also think much care should be taken to fight four our right to
intellectual analysis as it seems very often what our press provides is extremely one sided. What I'd like to
say regarding terrorism in general is (and I have no idea what went on in Paris specifically)... We ought to
learn to discern the truth. Acts of terrorism are shocking, and I feel for those innocent people caught up in it
all, but governments who fan the the fire with fuel composed of hatred and potentially varying levels of actual
involvement have a lot to answer for. I'm not saying who or who isn't involved nor on what level in any
particular incidents as I'm no expert, just that it is worthwhile seeking the truth for yourself and always be
wary of those on any side wanting to incite hatred and war, especially if they have something to gain from it. I
adore all human beings of all races, this is what should be promoted following such events. This happened in
Sydney and I'd like to see the human race react with love and enough intelligence to be able to see past any
potential lies fed to the public. Keep your mind open and compasionate, love IS all we need.

If you've tried Light's link on his post, it doesn't work. Here's a working link to his log:

Oh. Fixed. For some reason there was a space from a linebreak in the editor. I just copy/pasted the link you gave.

Hi team -- I have a question for you guys. Has anyone here done an intensive French course in France or Belgium (or maybe Luxembourg or Switzerland) that they can recommend? I'd like to spend a week or two at a language school sometime this spring to get some French in, and then maybe in the summer for a month or so before I move. I'm having trouble finding any that look professional but not incredibly expensive, though. Thanks!

Hi anamsc2,
I have no idea if this will help but I had remembered coming across advertisements in
the back of my regular French magazine bien-dire. So here are some websites that may
or may not help (not sure of any details just check them out see what you think):
www.languageroutes.com
www.crealangues.com
www.frenchinthedordogne.com
www.immersionfrance.co.uk
www.cle.fr
www.biendire.com (the magazine site apparently has some info on language schools but
i'm not sure if it's just a trick to get you onto their website)

Here's a grammar question for you all from Qui Veut Gagner Des Millions? The contestants had to go 50/50 to get
it right and then were really not sure. Are you smarter than two French C list celebrities?? (I personally definitely am
not)
