Finally signed up for the Dutch course Jeffers mentioned, btw.
Also found a few more:
Portuguese at Miríada X (it says "no requirements" but seems to be intended for native speakers and advanced learners)
Understanding language: learning and teaching
Dyslexia and foreign language teaching
I also barely resisted signing up for the course about breastfeeding at Miríada X (in Spanish), it seems fascinating but I'm sure this kind of info is available in many languages. And I don't really need it anytime soon.
BTW, just a tip: nowadays I try to sign up mostly for the MOOC's that are in their second or later run. There are always all sorts of issues when the course is offered for the first time. At Coursera it's the number after the class name (so 001 means it's the first run), elsewhere you can often figure it out from the description.
And a Miríada X -specific tip: all the videos are on youtube, so you can go to the introductory vid, open it within youtube and find the playlist with all the videos, generally available even when some modules haven't opened yet.
Also, thought I'd post a link to my profile/reviews at class central.

Thought I'd also let you guys know, Iversity has a beginning Spanish MOOC that looks like it might be nice:

I won't be taking it, but I like the idea of using a MOOC to test out a language (I'm trying the Dutch course mentioned before for just that reason).

So did I. It is quite basic but there is a large amount of material, written and audio, all
high quality.

It's not a language course per se, but an introductory course in linguistics is being offered by Coursera. You can read a brief description here:

It's not a language course at all but I'm really enjoying the psychological first aid course. It's largely about communicative strategies - active listening, finding the appropriate response, being aware of what replies your reaction "allows". It should also be useful for showing a native speaker that you understand what they say, for example ;)

Yeah, that's pretty good advice. I took an Ojibwe-related course through Coursera that was offered by the U of Toronto a couple years ago and it was nothing but technical difficulties. Support was horrible. Coursera blamed UofT and UofT blamed Coursera, and in the end, the entire course was set back by almost two weeks.
