Sad news, but thanks for the update. I have dealt with both Multilingual Books and WorldLanguage on a number of occasions and I found the service to be quite good. EDIT: Their service is "quite good" with respect to shipment of ordered materials and delivery times. Nonetheless, communication with the customer is not their strong suit. Hi Juan,
Having just reviewed my Emails from the period 2010 - 2011 with Multilingual Books and WorldLanguage, I have updated my post, above. These online sellers did, indeed, deliver the materials that I ordered and they did so in a timely fashion. However, I they did NOT respond to most of my Emails wherein I requested information either on these same orders or on other matters. I just tried using the limited "Search" function on their respective websites by requesting "Dunwoody" for which I received a "no results" response. I suspect that, in order to determine whether or not these companies actually have any such materials in stock, one would have to look up the individual languages and peruse the individual materials available for sale. Obviously, this would be a very time-consuming process if one wished to determine the total of "Dunwoody" materials available. So, in conclusion, my experience with these two companies suggests that you can trust them (a) to deliver on the orders that you place with them and (b) to ignore your Email enquiries. You could always try telephoning them, but that could prove to be prohibitively expensive. Furthermore, the person at the "Customer Service Desk" (a concept that died sometime in the 1990's) might not have the answer to your questions because his/her "search" capabilities might be just as limited as those available on their websites. The domain name is now under some blog newspaper. Nothing to do with language resources for less studied languages. Dunwoody Press, as language learners remember what the name was synonymous for is no longer. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I just wanted to comment on my recent order from the above poster.
I received my materials from Dunwoody Press this week. The CD and book were both of high quality like other Dunwoody materials that I have used. Laura sent me a list of books that they offer, which is complete from the standpoint of what I wanted and remembered them offering before the site went down. The person that gave me the pricing, book info, and ordering info was dunwoodypress@gmail.com. They were very responsive on email, typically answering my emails by the next morning. Once you make your order request, they will send a paypal link to your email. The prices seem to be higher than I remember them but with few exceptions are still lower than what you can get for a used copy on amazon or other book sites, with the benefit of having cds available if there were any originally. If you're looking for rare language materials, take a look and see what they have. This is truly an interesting report! I have appended a LINK to your comments in the new, REPLACEMENT forum A LANGUAGE LEARNER'S FORUM which was launched last year, to redress the persistent long-term technical and administrative issues associated with the maintenance of the HTLAL Forum. While HTLAL forum continues to serve as a highly-valued archive of several years of very interesting discussions, for the most part, the "active members" have moved on to the new forum. I suggest that you register on the new forum and post your report there, as well.
