This forum definitely needs some kind of irony and/or sarcasm tag(s)...

I don't know if this was pointed at me, but I wasn't being sarcastic in any way.
As for irony, if the suggestion is that luke is no Professor Arguelles, well, obviously. I learned to play the bass guitar from inspiration from several tasteful, talented, accomplished, and fortunate musicians. I never approached them in any way, but nonetheless, they were the impetus for a significant phase in my life.
If the quote meant something else, please be so kind as to put me back on track.

I guess by multitrack you refer to something like using
Linguaphone, Cortina, Hugo, Passport books, TYS, Colloquial, FSI, DLI etc, podcasts,
books and audio books? |

I'm glad if this was sarcastic ;) Smileys can help in conveying sarcasm.

What is 'sarcasm'? And while I"m at it... what is 4x5? If I can just shadow the answer in French backwards at
an angle of 35 degrees I think I'll be onto something. I could be wasting my time, but I highly doubt that. I
never waste time.

Basically he is insinuating that he knew the answer to the questions he asked you.
there are some undertones of internet forum elitism, i.e. "hahaha, noob question,
everyone knows this, you should have known this from my advance question asked in my
OP"
don't feel bad though, i thought your breakdown was very helpful and i'm sure it
helped a lot of people not as advance as the OP in the way of shadowing .
