(I 'erased' this political post because it might have been, perhaps, offensive to some.)

^ I think we should use the above quotes as the new benchmark for basic fluency on this site. If you can construct more logical sentences in your target languages, as far as I'm concerned, you've got a proficient command of it. And as a bonus, if the target language is English, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you speak as well as the most powerful Englishman on Earth :^)

Concerning "Persian or Farsi" I have created a separate topic at [Specific Languages : Persian or Farsi]. So please write your related posts there.
- Thanks in advance.

Hey, if the statement is of linguistic interest, I don't see why not.

Have fun analyzing these:

That's great. We get the idea. Can we keep politics out of this please, or
do you want to see this thread get closed? Aren't there other forums for
you to post that stuff in? Thanks.

You are right, AML. But politics is not under discussion. These statements illustrate the point that I make in my first post, namely, how easy it is to make nonsense in English if you never pay attention to what you say, or to what anyone else says (for we also learn to speak better by really listening to others). Nevertheless, I promise I will post no more Bushisms. Whoever wants to read more of them can find them online.
