Russian takes most of my study time for the moment, - though for a period of several weeks it had to take second pole position after Modern Greek. I spent less than a week down there in May, and I still can't follow an ordinary new broadcast, but after that holiday I felt for the first time that I could sit down with a book and just relax reading it. Plus I bought a couple of grammars which brought a modicum of order into my confused knowledge about Greek grammar. So far I'll keep Russian at Beginner and Greek at intermediate. I have been less active in Dutch for the last couple of months, - though I have read a fair amount of texts on the internet, I have don't little to make it an active language. But sooner or later I'll visit the Netherlands or Belgium, and then I'll get that fixed.
And then I have decided to do my stint at the 6w challenge (and I do mean 6w, not 3w) sometime in a month's time, - though I have still not been able to decide which language I should work on. Much depends on how my Russian and Greek behave.
My Romance languages will have to survive on a meager diet of some word lists and a lot of extensive listening and reading, - with one exception: I'm going to Portugal for a few days. After Cabo Verde and Moçambique this will be the third lusophone immersion in just one year, so my newest Romance language will be firmly established at the Basic level after that tour.
