Oops. I listed the consonants but forgot to mention the vowels in my profile.

á - like a in car(without r)
e - like e in bet
é - something between "ay" and "ee"
i - like i in bit
í - like ee in beet

Under resources, should we also include Assimil - Hungarian ?

Also, is it possible to change the spelling of resource ? I just noticed it's spelt as "ressource"

Have any of you used Assimil Hungarian? What are your thoughts?

I've revised the original profile to include comments about Assimil's Hungarian with Ease.

As always, Chung, your profile of Hungarian is incredibly helpful.

One "major" source you didn't mention, though, which thanks to Fat-Tony is now available, is the DLI Hungarian course, which is different from the FSI course but likewise contains a great deal of audio material. The links provided by Fat-Tony to download it are as follows:

http://rapidshare.com/files/275131569/hungarianvol9.zip
http://rapidshare.com/files/275140602/hungarianvol10.zip

I haven't checked them all, but the first one, at least, is still valid.

Although I haven't used either course, I think one way the DLI course may be a bit more user-friendly than the FSI course is that the individual lessons in it don't cover nearly as much material as the FSI lessons, which are quite long. Both courses were produced quite a while ago, and the DLI course has a fair amount of military-related vocabulary, but I still think it could be a very useful resource for anyone interested in Hungarian.
