Hey everyone,
I don't suppose anyone could recommend a language school in Germany? Preferably in Munich or Heidelberg or Stuttgart or somewhere around there since I have friends there.
I wanted to go there for about a week, live with a host family preferably and get some intensive exposure to German to back up my self study. I've looked at the Goethe Institute schools but obviously they are abit expensive. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to go with one of the cheaper schools without recommendation since they might be bogus and steal my money...
I hoping to use some of my holiday to go in the summer sometime.
So can anyone help me out here?

I'm sorry I cannot make a recommendation, but I will be going to the Frankfurt area for a week in March. I know NO German at all, but hope to learn a few phrases before going. How many Germans (by percentage) speak fluent English? I will be lost....

Well from my experience of travelling around Stuttgart/that area for 2 weeks last year knowing no German whatsoever....not many knew fluent English or at least no-one official. Luckily, I have a friend who speaks (or at least spoke) reasonable German so she just dealt with important things like buying train tickets and ordering food..that sort of thing.
So yes...you might be lost...

Can anyone help me find a good language school company that won't rip me off? They don't have to be specifically German-only...
