My favorite Korean program is 개그콘서트(Gag Concert) which despite the weird name
manages to crack me up every time. I watch without subtitles and can understand maybe 95% of what's being said, though sometimes the humor is a bit to different from what I'm used to, and I won't always laugh at what was supposed to be funny. So in that sense there's a lot of the 유머코드('humor code') that I don't really get... 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

My favorite TV show (foreign or otherwise) is a telenovela from Spain called El Internado. I always watched it in Spanish without subtitles and generally understood everything, maybe missing a couple words per episode if anything. Unfortunately I just finished watching the last season of it this past week. :( However, I think it's a great show and would highly recommend it to anyone who speaks or is learning Spanish. In fact, I often say it's worth learning Spanish just to be able to watch this show. :)

Definitely, Akte 20.10 on ProSieben.It is a weekly German program that goes after internet and other scammers.
I also used to love Corte del Pueblo (Spanish) with Judge Manuel Franco, but it is no longer on the air. I learned a lot of Mexican slang from this program. I like the French program mots croisés. http://mots-croises.france2.fr/ For Italian, I like the show Verdetto Finale. So, basically, you could say that I like shows where native speakers are using the language unscripted (talk shows, court shows, etc.). Unfortunately, some of the German court shows seem to be scripted and use actors. I do not watch them with subtitles and any words I do not understand, I write down and then later I look them up and add them to my word list book. On Dutch TV I always liked to watch the political program "Buitenhof" which is broadcasted from the residence of parliament in Den Haag. It is always broadcasted on Sundays at noon. Perhaps somebody from the Netherlands can inform me, whether "Buitenhof" is shown on "Nederland 1, 2, or 3", because I can only receive "Nederland 2".

I love the french documentary series "Faut pas rêver". And the medieval "La commanderie", better than anything medieval i've ever seen.
I loved the Spanish documentary series "Las vias verdes" and "Las claves del romanico" and the one about the roman invasion "Hispania". I loved many british series, but maybe the best was "Jeeves and Wooster". It's difficult to choose among so many master pieces. Of other languages i love movies on dvd, not tv shows. But the dvd edition of The Clone Wars in Spain contains quite a number of languages to choose from, so i love to watch it in Italian, maybe i should say it's my favorite Italian tv series? i didn't like anything i've watched in Italy that much. They speak sometimes in hawaiian at the annual hula dance festival "The Merry Monarch Festival" I bought the dvd pack of the 2008 edition and i really love it, i watch it again and again, learn the songs and mimic the dances, and practice my hawaiian. 1 person has voted this message useful |
