I recently watched the pilot of the new CBS dramedy Chaos and found it really hard to watch the scenes in which one of the main characters speaks "fluent Arabic," because the producers obviously didn't pay for a language coach.
In that respect, the producers of the similarily themed Covert Affairs spy drama did a much better job.
IMHO, James Murray's Scottish accent was also way over the top.

Yes, I agree that that was poorly used Arabic there. I have yet to see Covert Affairs, however.
I recall watching an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles where one of the characters briefly spoke Arabic, and it was satisfactory.
