One example is the French band Magma, creators of a progressive rock sub-genre "Zeuhl". They sing in Kobaïan, which is a language written by Christian Vander, the drummer and founder of the band. Their main productive period was in the seventies, but they have again been active in recent years after a long hiatus, and have released albums in 2004 and 2009.
For most, Zeuhl is an acquired taste. But it is not just a gimmick. The music is very enjoyable and even addictive, once you get into it. As for Magma, I recommend starting with the album "Attahk", which is probably easiest to get into, although it does not showcase the fullest heights of Magma. The album "K.A" would be a good next step after that.
