Do you find that learning vocabulary by picture association is better than using direct
translations, but are put off by the difficulty of creating picture flashcards manually?
My friend, an English teacher and Russian learner, has created a utility that allows you
to quickly, painlessly, make a picture dictionary, making use of Google Images to find
appropriate images for your words. The resulting flashcards can then simply be printed.
It works in any language and is free.

On a side note, desktop Anki has a plugin "Image Download" that allows one to browse Google Images and attach a picture of your choice to your card (you have to create an "Image" field in your deck that would store that picture). It's pretty straightforward and convenient to use, and even though you'd have to manually add each picture to each card the personalization it allows imo outweighs that.
