1. American (Standard) 2. Canadian 3. US Black Vernacular / Ebonics This worked pretty well; I'm American, grew up near the Canadian border, and have lived in mixed race cities since college. Our top three guesses for your native (first) language: 1. English 2. Norwegian 3. Swedish Also pretty good; the second languages in our family were Norwegian, though the bilingual ones were a previous generation, and Spanish among my cousins who I didn't meet until I was an adult. I see a few people have Singaporean English in their list. I wonder what triggers that.

The third point might explain the guess for my dialect. I assumed it to be subjunctive (in indirect speech spanning more than one sentence). 1 person has voted this message useful |
