Does anyone have a russian grammar to recommand ? The ideal grammar I am looking for
should be possibly thin ,have few explanations and many examples , explain all the basic
patterns and how to build sentences with connectors like dla tovo , shto . I would be
grateful if you happpen to know something similar , I have already bought a grammar which

"The New Penguin Russian Course" is, in my opinion, hands down the best and easiest grammar book for Russian.

I second the New Penguin Russian course but I also like Schaum's Russian Grammar. It has plenty of exercises with the answers included.

I have a dedicated grammar book that is mostly in Russian but it kinda lacks examples. It does have a lot of exercises that are dedicated to different parts of grammar such as the cases, motion verbs (go/went) and past tense.

Another book that I have uses more English but it's a combination of vocabulary by topic and it adds grammar through out the book. There is a dedicated section for grammar in the back and it sorta explains it. It also has a chart for the cases.
