I had not checked out the site in a while, but Spanish is now complete. Anyone use this
program and have any thoughts? My general impression it is basically a Michel Thomas like
course.

I am reviewing it (completed the first 20). I really like it and as someone who has done MT and Assimil and currently using FSI and native material, I would recommend it to anyone who is starting the process of learning Spanish. It is MT without the Male student who makes you want to drive your vehicle into an embankment.
I know it is heresy to say this here...but if I were starting over, I would do these 50 lessons and just jump into FSI without Assimil (I know I will be reported to the authorities and I await my punishment).

There are a few of us who have already raved in other threads about Language Transfer's
Greek course.
Language Transfer Greek takes you a bit further than Michel Thomas Greek, but
unfortunately, LT does have a very annoying student.

I agree with BOLIO that it's a great introduction into the language and can easily take the place of Assimil if you plan on moving on to FSI Spanish. The "Complete Spanish" course is the new version of the old Spanish course. It's supposedly been completed but i don't think they've finished uploading all the audio of the course, or have they? Soundcloud won't load fully in China.
The Greek course is great, but it's not finished yet. Supposedly a new version much like the new "Complete Spanish" course is in the works for Greek. I don't remember thinking the student was annoying in Greek, i remember getting a little frustrated with their pronunciation though. In the Greek 3 course there's a new student, probably 'cuz it took so long for the third level to come out. I've stopped holding my breath waiting for the courses to be released, but the ones that have been put out, even if "incomplete" are still really great.
Btw, we had another thread on LT here:

Is this course more geared towards Peninsular or Latin American Spanish? Or does it cover
both?

The teacher suggests using a Latin American accent if the "th" is difficult for you, but he often says a word using
both accents.

I listened in while my mom did the first 10 lessons. It's really a very good resource. I wish that I'd had it when I
was first starting out! The first 10 lessons are all about using cognates and what you already know to build
increasingly complex sentences. By day six (I think?), my Mom was able to say: "I want to cancel it, but I don't
want to cancel it now."
There's lots of built-in review, which I found useful.
Her comments:
- makes you think
- surprising how much you can puzzle out
- good length for lessons (any longer and her brain would have needed a break)
Both of us thought that you'd definitely need something else for common and household vocabulary. She's using
it in tandem with Duolingo, which seems to be working well.

Interesting. I often see questions on the forum about whether to skip certain
resources
(ie, Assimil) since it uses the "th" and some find that a turn-off. If that is the
only
difference in pronunciation (ignoring vocab differences), I always wondered why people
couldn't just use the Castilian resources and pronounce the "th" as an "s" and call it
good!
