Accidently posted this in the wrong area so here it is again in its proper location.....
For all those interested who are resident outside US/Canada it is possible to access the the video files for French In Action directly by bypassing the main website. As an example here is program 3:
mms://media.scctv.net/annenberg/French_In_Action_03.wmv
Copy the link into your browser and this will open up the Windows Media file directly in Media Player.
Andy.

Thanks Andy E.
Here are a few more links.
Spanish
mms://media.scctv.net/annenberg/Destinos_01.wmv
German
mms://media.scctv.net/annenberg/Fokus_Deutsch_03.wmv
This only works for some of the German episodes.
English
This is for the first episode, mms://media.scctv.net/annenberg/Connect_w_English_Intro-01.w mv For some reason this keeps posting with a space in the URL. If you click on the link it will work, but if you copy and paste it you will need to remove the spaces.
It looks like the rest are grouped in pairs.

Re: Annenburg Fokus Deutsch -
I had a quick look at this.
There are supposedly 36 lessons, but it looks like only every third lesson has a separate video. I'm guessing the reason is that there are two lessons in the book which both refer to one video, but I've never seen the book. Anyway, on Learner.org site, clicking on either Episode 1 or Episode 2 displays the same video.
The pattern goes like this this :
Fokus_Deutsch_01-02.wmv (pointed to by lessons 1 and 2)
Fokus_Deutsch_03.wmv
Fokus_Deutsch_04-05.wmv (pointed to by lessons 4 and 5)
Fokus_Deutsch_06.wmv
etc, up to 36

Sorry Andy E, I wasn't able to go through each episode. I tried about 5 and 3 of them worked. It sounds like Omicron found the pattern.

There are two parts per video but after three lessons is a review which would explain the pattern omicron found. Fokus_Deutsch_03.wmv is lesson three and review. The page links are misleading because 1 and 2 go to the same video, etc.

I watched a couple of videos from the Annenberg site -- and loved it -- but all of a sudden a net login and password are required. ???
Any other way to get round the proxy problem?

Get a download manager such as Flashget or Getright (from download.com) and then download the files by posting the URL addresses as mentioned above. It works fine.
