Which well-known people speak more than one language fluently? I find this quite interesting because it is so rare to hear people talking in any language other than English on the television nowadays (in the UK I mean!).

Sandra Bullock speaks English when interviewed on German TV, according to Wikipedia, but she can follow interview questions in German.

The New York Mets had a pitcher on their 1986 championship team, Ron Darling, who is fluent in Chinese and French. His mother is Chinese, his father is French-Candadian, and Darling himself attended Yale University. A bright guy, who is now a New York Mets announcer. (That's baseball, for any non-fans out there.)

She could have fooled me, if I hadn't know who she was. I am not a native German speaker, and fooling me does not necessarily mean there is no foreign accent at all, but I fancy I'd pick it up unless it was fairly slight. Can any native German speakers comment please, I'd be very interested to know. And let's make that link clickable as well while we're at it.

Wow! She almost had no accent!
She did get some genders wrong. In the beginning she wants to say: My speech lies there.... unfortunately she says: My language lies there...
But in general I'm totally impressed by her speech.

I'm a native German speaker and I was really impressed seing it.
as zigzag said, she should have said 'rede' instead of 'sprache', which just sounds weird.
but a really really great German + the bavarian accent which sounds charming when she's speaking it.
