Suggestion: I find a whiteboard to be a very effective tool for interactive (between two or more people) language learning. I use Scribblar with Skype. You might consider at least a link to Scribblar and perhaps some more detailed usages. http://www.scribblar.com

I think some of our new forum police are a bit too trigger happy. The above link was removed when it was quoted by Abavagada, a Newbie here, from my post above where it was not removed. That sort of thing seems to serve no purpose at all.

And strangely, when you quote the article where the link was removed (as I just did), it is not removed but is sitting there in full view. Weird! Try it yourself.

It might just be an automated system that checks to see if the person has had N number of posts, and if not, removes any active links from that when it is displayed. Since you have enough posts, it didn't trigger on yours.

It didn't fire on the post in which I put the URL of Parleremo, but I put that as just text... I didn't put it as an active link.

I got an account on Scribblar, and tried it briefly last night. It looks good, and I will see about linking it into my site. Thanks!

Now, will the Scribblar link be removed from my quoting your quote? :)

edit: it was the moment I posted.. so it's an automated system, not a forum moderator.

I wish more sites had the transcripts of their media, be it video or just audio. This is the thing that helps me the most. Often I will hear a word and not be able to tell what letters are used it in and thus have no way of looking it up or finding out what it is. I know writing out transcripts takes time, but it is really helpful.

It has been over 2 years since I first posted this topic, asking what people want in a language learning site. Since then, I have been working very hard to build the site and add content. It now has many resources for almost 60 languages, including newspapers, radio stations, tv stations, newspapers, vocabulary and more. It also has systems for members to practice speaking and writing with feedback from others.

I encourage everyone to visit and see what it has. I would also love people to give me their feedback on what they like, don't like, and would like to see.
