Unfortunately, the other three languages that have been identified as being related to Pirahã (Mura, Bohurá, and Yahahí) have all gone extinct. My hunch is that it is more distantly related to other languages in the region, since humans haven't been living in the continent very long, maybe a few tens of thousands of years. But the genetic relationships of New World languages are very unclear because there aren't many of them left for us to study, and because they haven't been given the same depth of study that Old World (particularly Eurasian) languages have. In Brazil particularly, there are a number of tribes which choose to live isolated from civilization, making it unlikely we'll ever have a good understanding of their languages.
