A while ago my mate showed me this youtube video of a little french girl making up a story, and I was amazed at how much I understood of what she was saying, and this got me thinking... shes obviously not speaking the kind of difficult conversational french that adults do, so that kind of thing would be a good way to get better at understanding the spoken language.

I would imagine on childrens' TV shows, cartoons (Les Schtroumpfs, for example) that they would speak a lot clearer and simpler to cater to their audience.

Does anyone know where I can find something like this that also has subtitles in English?

thanks !

I like Funny Funny on Korean tv.

But why you need subs?

I recommend watching without subtitles, you may end reading it, instead of listening.

The show that I have the hardest time understanding is a children's show, Doraeman. The kids speak so fast! Whole sentences go by that I can't understand a word of, even though there are Mandarin subtitles.

If I watch shows for younger kids, then it is a little better (not much), but then there is also less speaking over all so watching them is not very time efficient.
