Mandarin is a bit lengthy compared to Cantonese, which is extremely wordy compared to Literary Sinitic. Of course, all we need to do is to make all English words into Unicode standardized characters and English would be in the lead. I wonder which language is the most efficient if you count bytes instead of characters?
