Guys, thanks for your greetings, it was very nice of you :)
Solfrid, with my all respect to the girls from "Silver" band, for Russians there is only one voice for this
song - the voice of Mark Bernes . Someone
has tried to translate it as follow:
Sometimes it seems to me that the soldiers,
Which haven't returned from blood's fields,
Haven't laid into our land,
But have turned into white cranes.
I like the spirit of this song, it somehow hypnotizes me, but I'm sure - there is a real danger to catch a
depression if hear it too often.
We want to remember, we have to remember, they really ARE in our hearts, but no one can move further if
don't let them go...

I chose the version of Cerebro because of the subtitles, but I agree. The original version is even better.

To fellow members still struggling with Russian phonetics, I'd like to recommend the book
How
to pronounce Russian correctly
I finally managed to produce soft consonants and also got better at distinguishing them
when I hear them. I may not have mastered 'dark l' yet but at least I will try not to
make all l's sound like soft l's. The tips are quite practical eand easy to understand
and follow.

Hi guys!
Since I’ve been having some problems focussing on languages lately, I think it’s time I threw in the towel and downgraded my status from active to observer in both Team Lobos and Team Катюша for the months of March and April. I hope I’ll soon (maybe as soon as May) be back with even more enthusiasm for Spanish/Russian but for the time being it seems appropriate to acknowledge the fact that I’m not working on my languages and I don’t expect the situation to change in the next few weeks. I’ll keep following the Teams and my teammates’ logs, but I don’t want the pressure of having to study when I’m not feeling up to it.
Good luck, everybody!

This song is connected to WW2, but was censored as it was not considered positive enough. It did however

When was it censored? It's a part of a film.

Hi Emme,
sorry to hear that! Of course, if you have other priorities in your life right now, it's best to concentrate on them first. I'd be the last person who wouldn't understand that.
We'll be there, if/when you decide to get back to Russian. Best of luck to you!

I am at the same situation, but I don't feel any pressure from the teams or the forum. Perhaps not stoppping through these slow days/weeks is better (for me I mean), because if I take time off I may never start again!
I hope we will soon see you with us again, but mostly that you are ok in your life! Ci vediamo, cara!
