Does the Internet have a basement? If so, I may have found some interesting audio-visual material lying around down there. Recently, while rummaging around in the virtual basement, I stumbled across the website of Teacher's Discovery. While digging through the various cartons, I came across the Sky Rabbit Video DVDs that seem to be available in several of the more popular languages.
What makes them interesting from my standpoint is that they are recent collections of authentic audio-visual TV Commercials, Sportscasts, Newscasts, Soap Operas, etcetera, that have onscreen subtitles in the original language (German, French, Spanish, ...) in a manner similar to that one can find on YABLA and YOUTUBE.
Please note that, other than using the demo on the website, I have not used these DVDs and that I am NOT endorsing them. I just thought that I would bring this to your attention. As an aside, locating these products on the website of Teacher's Discovery was a Crap Shoot and relocating them some time later was even harder.
