January - I'm bored. I hear there's a new Assimil Dothraki course out. Maybe I'll try
that.

February - Dothrakian is pretty cool so far.

March - Download a bunch of Dothraki courses from a questionable site out of Qarth.
Tell people I got the books at the library.

April - This is going well. I'm sure I'll be fluent by mid-summer.

May - I love this language!!! Maybe I'll learn Valyrian too. And the Old Tongue!
Who's up for a Westeros Challenge?

June - Why aren't I fluent yet?

July - Assimil Dothraki is the worst course ever.

August - Dammit. I can't believe I'm still not fluent.

September - I hate Dothraki. I quit. Stupidest language ever.

October - I miss studying Dothraki.

November - I meet a Dothrakian in a bar. And can't say a word. I have forgotten
everything. I suck.

December - So ... is anyone interested in forming a Dothraki TAC team?

This is wonderful -- and very accurate! (It mirrors my own experience with Dothraki perfectly.)

Wonderful is a good word to describe it.

I think every newbie in Middle Earth should read this. In Westeros, too.

When I come to think of it, everyone should read this.

In the end, it doesn't matter, because "girls don't count Klingon".

"You know you've been on HTLAL too long when ..."- you know this is true because you've seen this so many times before with so many enthusiastic beginners, some of whom tend to bite off just a little bit more than they can chew.

If they had only used the Dothraki Muzzy course!

And then there's also:
"who studies on vacation? i deserve to rest, Dothraki is fun but summer is more fun!"

Bonus points if it takes place in the L2 country where the person travels with a package tour. And if they try to say something a few times, don't understand the responses and get discouraged.
