This is my first log, and first year entering the T.A.C.
I am excellent at starting study but not completing, and have piles of language tapes and books on French, Italian, Russian and an odd one or two on Greek and Sanskrit; all waiting for the magic moment when I pick up a language or study an interest in earnest.
This year, due to the TAC2015, I have one goal ... to read and understand a book which to date has only been published in French. My project is 'Sauvage par Nature' by Sarah Marquis - Wild by Nature (from Siberia to Australia on foot, 3 years alone in untouched territory'. Sarah Marquis is looking for publisher to translate into English - so my race is on to read this before there is an English publication!
My goal.
I hope the French team will accept me.
With the best of wishes for everyone taking part,
Runnerbean. http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?T ID=39717&PN=1

Bienvenue and Bonne Chance! I am also studying French. Sauvage par Nature sounds like a very
interesting book! I may have to add it to my "to-read" - particularly after you have read and reviewed it. What
level of French do you have, and what resources do you plan to use to be able to read Sauvage Par Nature?
I like your goal of focusing on one major book! Looking forward to following your progress!

Merci. Thank you, very much, for your kind and
positive response to my log.
In the book there are 302 pages, typed with medium
size font and at least 1.25 spacing between rows.
My resource is a Collins French Dictionary &
Grammar Fourth edition 2006. With this and a pencil
I am aiming to complete one page a day.
What level of French do I have? Beginner, with
knowledge of some Grammar and several words but not
enough to converse.
I am keen to read the book. We will see what
happens!
Allez!

We'd be glad to have you on the French team. Just head over to our thread and sign up. Also you should go to the Official TAC thread you linked to above, and state your intention as well as giving a link to your log there.
