In Norwegian the "å" has apparently won the battle. In Danish ´'og' has almost won in the spoken language, but the battle is still raging in the written language, with "og" as the more formal and conservative variant.
Actually the situation with a movement verb plus something that can be done is likely to induce a sense of purpose. It should be pointed out that there is a very common, but not very polite formular with imperatives which basically means "mind your own business": "Rend og hop". The quirkiest things about Danish pronunciation (rarely or never mentioned):
