Of all the politicians in the world which is the greatest polyglot?
Queen Elizabeth can speak French a bit but has a very harsh accent. The Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper can speak a passable French. None of our national party leaders here in Canada can speak both languages well. Angela Merkel can speak English, German and Russian. Chandrika Kumaratunga the former president of Sri Lanka can speak English, French and Singhalese. Tony Blair can speak both French and English. Vladimir Putin is known to speak fluent (near-native) German. As far as I know this is because of his KGB past, being stationed in Berlin during the Cold War.

Kevin Rudd, the Australian PM pulls of Mandarin and English well enough to impress people. I don't know if he has any others under his belt though.
