Yes, but as I just returned from Mexico yesterday I have to add that over there they call it "influenza porcina" or just "influenza".
And here in Spain the new name "nueva gripe" is starting to be introduced as well. Apparently the name "new flu" is being recommended by EC authorities. And the code name H1N1 can also be seen in some of the news.

In Flanders the name is Mexican Flu and in Wallonia Swine Flu. I think that swine flu's a bad name, and Mexican Flu
is better, or H1N1 the best one. This one's a mixture of swine, bird and human flu anyway, and it's usual that a bird
flu has to go via pigs for infect the humans. It's weird that in Egypt they killed many pigs, absolutely bizarre.

"Nueva gripe" is just stupid. all things are new when they're new. That the transmission in humans is from/via pigs
is absolutely not new. This mutation's new, but new every day or month. They can call it, for example H1N1-2009.
This is how I would call it.

Or, I just thought, they can copy the hurricanes' system and give it a name for example Flu James, althouhg nobody
want that it's her/his name, of course. Kenski Flu would be appropriate hahahaah!!! (It was a joke) I think that the
best is H1N1-2009 or other label like this. Mexican Flu's acceptable because the patient zero was there.
or.. American Flu. Mexico's in the american continent, and before it was a flu called "Asian Flu".
or---maybe if those Egyptians think that the solution is to kill all the pigs, they better kill all the Spanish-speakers
also, because the most terrible flu was the Spanish Flu 1918-1919 and in Spain and Mexico they speak Spanish.
And, not to forget all the birds because this flu has some birds' flu in, and then all humans because it contains
human flu as well. Of course, this comments aren't serious, but it's *very* annoying when there are stupid
reactions, or people think that you can get the virus when you eat some porc.
