Could anyone recommend any good Spanish or Latin American films to assist my language studies, preferably ones which shouldn`t be hard to find.

I am still at an extremely basic level of Spanish, however I imagine watching subtitled Spanish speaking films will be quite an enjoyable and productive exercise.

Thanks

Pedro Almadovar is a good director. Gael Garcia Bernal is a great actor. Can't go wrong
with one of those.

Abre los ojos was good. It was what they based Vanilla Sky on.

El orfanato was interesting too.

I second for El Orfanato. And also for the whole series of "Peliculas para no dormir".
[REC] was also interesting, but only if you like horror films.
And the novelas option is always available, you can find loads of them on YouTube.

la misma luna is a good choice... I am a beginner in Spanish, and even I understood some of the Spanish spoken, so I will recommend this also.
