I just saw this, and it was a very good film. I would recommend it.
I've also enjoyed Sin Nombre recently, although this one is very violent and shocking, but provided for some interesting thought and conversation afterwards.

I thought about renting 'Sin nombre' but I was afraid it was violent and I do not enjoy too much violence in a film. I didn't watch 'El laberinto del fauno' either even though it was recommended to me (when I read the movie reviews I was sort of perplexed that it had been recommended to me hehe).
¡Nadie se espera a la inquisición española!
I enjoy Spanish but their cinema can be very dark sometimes (so can hollywood come to think of it). I am definitely someone who likes stuff like Amelie. Anyone know of anything more upbeat like this in Spanish (I have seen 'La misma luna')? Sci-fi and suspense are ok too.
I recommend the comedies 'El palo' and '25 watts' (although the latter is a bit quirky).
Also 'Historias mínimas' http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0291988/
'Como agua para chocolate' is a good romance.

Try Cuevana, you'll find tons of movies (and complete series) to watch or download. The English (Hollywood)
movies have captions in Spanish, and the Spanish ones do not have any kind of captions, but you'll find at least 200 movies in Spanish, so that
should be helpful. The best series completly in Spanish you'll find are Los Simuladores and Mujeres Asesina.
