Definitely depends it on the culture that interests one more. In addition to being quite
close in Europe, that there seem to be around 10 Portuguese immigrants for each Brazilian
in the UK (at least that is how it seems in Manchester), this is what attracts me to PT-

It's the opposite in Dublin. Brazilians far outweigh Portuguese people.

I have access to the whole Brazilian Portuguese Pimsleur collection but I'm learning the European dialect. I watch Portuguese tv and speak with that accent. I plan to complete the course speaking in a European accent. Has anybody been down this road?
