Agreed. These kinds of comments just get so old. They contribute to a hostile atmosphere for women and are really not necessary. Anyway, I thought her American English impression was spot on. This requires another comment. Don't worry, I'll try to be objective and tread carefully. In fact, my comment was tongue-in-cheek. But it needn't be. The objective truth is that the video had some good bits and some bad ones (we've covered this, I think). Now, the other subject. Pretty people (of both sexes) lead an easier life and can get away with a lot of stuff others don't. The same goes for wealthy people, and this includes more or less everyone in this forum, when we think in global terms. If you look at my original comment, you'll see that I wrote "she's pretty enough to make that irrelevant". The "she" here is just correct grammar. It could have applied to a "he", if it were the case. Making it a sexist comment is distorting it. If anything, the comment reflects a social fact. And it's not gender-related. This is totally relevant because you may think whatever you want, but it's women who inevitably get comments about their looks, regardless of what sort of videos they post. And bringing this up even here on HTLAL discourages women from making videos. (Especially as your comment reads as "I like the video because the girl is pretty", not "the video got so popular because the girl is pretty", which is definitely true at least to some extent)
For example I've just checked the comments to Alex videos, and the only suggestive ones were about how he probably gets all the women easily. Whenever I hear these "what your language sounds like to foreigners" my reaction is always, "Oh, exactly the same then."
