If any one is curious the person with the youtube name crenquist had many videos on
fake languages back in 2007, but for some reason most were taken down. He made some
conversational fake language videos with himself. It actually looked like twins talking
to each other.
He did not get as much press as the girl from Finland, but I guess timing and who sees
it is the big factor. A lot of his comments were compliments of how he imitated the
sounds, along with criticisms he is not speaking the actual languages. Similar to the
girl from Finland many commentators did not comprehend the description or intention of
the video. The word Fake was blatantly stated in the video, but some commentators still
complained about it not being real.
I believe the important part of these videos are exposure to the language and music.
When I have heard musicians speak another language, I am just astounded how much easier
the sound system seems to be for them. I am not a musician, but if I was in the same
room with one and we heard something, the musician is more likely to emulate quicker
and more precise, than myself. One of my goals now is to learn Perfect and Relative
Pitch along with vocal training.
