Simultaneous translation is an incredible feat. There is an interesting article on the BBC website today: The amazing brains of the real-time interpreters

I found some tidbits interesting- knitting while simultaneously translating, anticipation of the end of a sentence- apparently translators' family members complain that they never get to finish a sentence, word order in some languages causing difficulty in translation- i.e. waiting til the end of a sentence for a negation or subject.
