I agree. These errors annoy me too, but I know that I am guilty of it on occasion - purely because I'm typing fast. I try to reread my messages and check them for any errors, but I imagine one would slip through every now and then.

On a non-language forum, it's ugly and sloppy to make these sorts of errors. On a language forum, it's worse.

These types of mistakes are hardly inevitable, and can easily be reduced in number.

The time saved by not cursorily examining posts for rudimentary typographical errors probably is not among the low-hanging fruit of extra study time for most people here. If Professor Argüelles had time to proofread his posts (.. and he did).....

Well, we certainly are not a place to "chat" - there are loads of places on the Internet where you can write any damn way you please, but this is not one of them. Many of the discussions on this forum will remain of interest to people in the future to guide or inspire them in their language learning. If the spelling is lax, it diminishes the credibility and attractivity of this resource. So please, when you type here, watch your spelling. Thank you!
