Hi! I was just wondering if you know about some book or tv series or movie involving either translators, interpreters or polyglots? (like The Interpreter)
The other day I watched "Turn left, turn right (向左走·向右走)" which the female protagonist was a German and polish translator and besides the movie being very good it was inspiring to see something related to what we like and do :-)
Any additions to the list?
So far:
The Interpreter
Turn left, turn right (向左走·向右走)

In Lord of War, Nicholas Cage's character has a "knack for languages" and he speaks some of them throughout the movie including Spanish and Vietnamese.

I just saw a Taiwanese movie called Silk in which two characters are shown to speak at least three languages: one spoke English, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, while the other spoke Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese.
The Bourne series, of course, shows super-assassin Jason Bourne speaking English, German, French, Russian and Spanish.

In the 007 movies, Bond spoke a little Russian. I am not sure if he is fluent in it though. And in the 007 novel From Russia With Love it says he knows French and German as well.

L'Auberge Espagnol - about Erasmus exchange students, a bunch of them are polyglots
OSS 117 - Le Caire, nid d'espions - the protagonist somehow learns Arabic during several weeks(?) in Cairo. Not the main theme, but I thought I'd mention this hilarious movie.
Although in Babel there aren't really any interpreters or polyglots, but languages play an important role in this movie, and you may enjoy watching it too.
