Hello, I was wondering if anybody knows any particularly online resources for learning
French? I'm starting from scratch and am looking for something to get me going until I
can get my hands on tangible resources. Thanks for any help ^_^

This question gets asked quite a bit, here are some recent threads for you to explore that answer your question:
How to learn a language: where to start
MT French
More French options Scroll down for links to free on-line resources
There are many, many free online resources out there- French in Action is generally considered one of the best on-line options. If you search you can find the books. FSI and DLI are your taxpayer's dollars at work- free! Remember if you want everything handed to you on a silver platter, bells and whistles and excitement then pony up to the bar and pay the man. If you want free, be prepared to put in some extra effort to make it work for you, but- the price is right.
Free resources can also be had from your public library via an inter-library loan. If your local library doesn't have what you're looking for, try asking them to get it through an inter-library loan. Make it easier for the librarian by providing the ISBN number- google say- "Pimsleur French Comprehensive ISBN" - each 30 lesson level has a different ISBN and there are three of them, downside is waiting and the upside is "free".
Since you're new here, the best way to search the forum is to click "search" and then on the search page- the "g-search" button. You'll find that most beginner questions have been answered umpteen times. Enter key words and then click search. Ten click-able links will appear. Non-click-able links that may interest you- enter the thread name in the "g-search" box and search- easy peasy, lemon squeazy.
Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Thanks a lot. I'm going to look into getting FSI when I can be sure of receiving it (I'm
in China at moment, so it feels questionable at best). I'l' be sure to search first from
now on.
