Do you know of any podcasts or similar resources in French, where you'd have audio and corresponding transcript? Preferably not news, but that'd do in a pinch. Something like this - http://www.rfi.fr/lffr/articles/142/article_4410.asp

Lindley, I've included some transcripted resources in this post:
http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?T ID=24268&PN=1&TPN=3#329617 .
Also, a post on the Service Protestant:
http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?T ID=24268&PN=1&TPN=6#336241 .
And another post (#26, also mentioned in #27 and #30) on a Current Affairs interview programme, Le Talk de
Paris:

(You'll have to copy and past the URLs into your browser, removing any extra spaces in the web address; I can't
seem to get the internal links to work.)
There have also been a number of threads/posts on French language audiobooks (including free podcasts/audio
of titles no longer in copyright). Try a search using the forum Search tools; there's a link in the banner at the top
of the page. You'll then have to get a copy of the text, which for public domain titles shouldn't be too
difficult to do either. The texts won't necessarily always match exactly, but it should get you started. One
advantage of listening to /reading classics is that you may also be able to find copies of the titles either
translated into or from your first language (Russian in your case, English in mine).
