Any language spoken well sounds beautiful. And any can sound ugly when spoken by some people.

Spykel why do you study languages that you think are "not so beautiful" in both written and verbal form?

Well..I'm not studying Swedish anymore, I've just never updated my profile. I had to study French as a kid, so I carried on with it, and it has helped career-wise. And I like spoken German. It's just the capitalization of nouns that puts me off...written Germans texts tend to look like computer operation manuals or insurance polices. Plus, I'm learning it for cultural reasons, beauty isn't the only reason to learn a language.

I think many languages are beautiful. In no particular order: Hindi, Persian, Turkish,
Arabic, Portuguese, French, Dutch, Swedish, and Russian.

Hi, I'm kind of used to French, but still think it's a pleasant sounding language. I find Arabic very sexy. Farsi sounds so cute to me (like 2 kittens playing with a bunny kind of cute). Turkish, Mandarin, Hindi and Urdu are also beautiful languages. My introduction to Hindi was through Bollywood movies, and I may be swayed by the fact that most actors in those movies are smoking hot.

I'm not a fan of Italian (whenever my friends speak it they always sound angry to me), or British English (like nails on a chalk board - although Irish and Scottish English are hot). Thai is a little on the harsh sounding side as well.
