I don't do much writing on Lang-8. Mostly what I do is look for the Koreans practicing English and find the entries with the marker "With native language." That way I can see what they're writing in English and read the correct and natural Korean version of it. Very helpful. (I also make corrections of the English, of course) |

That's a brilliant idea!
As for lang8, I do not use it currently because Esperanto does not seem to be a language in which you can get corrections. However, I submit written texts (well, so far only one :D) elsewhere for corrections.
Here is what I do with the correction :
1) I make sure I have understood every correction.
2) I take a note of the mistake.
3) I try to pay more attention to that point in the future.
4) If a mistake is statistically coming back frequently, I work on that point.
For instance, in my text, I wrote "Esperanto estas plej facila lingvo" for which the correction was "Esperanto estas LA plej facila lingvo".
1) I understand why.
2) I took a note "Grammar - comparison - 1 - the superlative form requires a definite article. For ex. "LA plej facila lingvo".
3) This week, when I read, listen, write or speak, I will try to pay more attention to the superlatives. In my next submission, I will try to have at least one superlative (though of course, in a different sentence).
4) If I get other corrections on comparison, I will not make a new note but edit my entry. For instance :
"Grammar - comparison - 3
- the superlative form requires a definite article. For ex. "LA plej facila lingvo
- no article is required after "ol". For ex. "mia fratino estas pli granda ol mi"."
If I noticed that the number of mistakes for the "comparison" category is getting higher, I would probably review a grammar lesson and do exercises on that specific topic.
