A little tip I've found helps when you're stuck at a boring meeting, presentation or lecture. Try and translate the speaker into your target language, on the fly, in your head. It's quite challenging, but I've found it can help develop fluency. It also makes you look like you're concentrating on the speaker. They'll mistake you rapid attempt to conjugate a verb, as a profound and studious look.

Used this today.
Started with just Spanish but then got bored of that so did Spanish and Korean- Which was
great because the boring presentation was in both English and French, so I got a good
three languages in!

I tried this two days ago...and I found myself not falling asleep during the meeting. I
even looked interested in the presentation and speaker because I was taking down notes.
Actually, I was writing down the words I missed, with the intention of translating them
after the meeting. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my goodness, this is an amazing idea! Besides improving your TL, there is the side consequence that you might actually take in a bit of the speaker's message.
