Everybody was agreeing with you, actually! :) Unless you want to start a business, sell a book, or open up a language institute. However, you could open up the institute B]without even knowing the language. Even so, I read somewhere that like 10% of all businesses fail within the first year. Or was it 90%? Forgot. But even if you START a business, your opportunity cost is what you are making at your job! Pick the one that interests you most, however difficult it may be, you will always do better with a language you love than one you think makes more sense.
