Unless you want to start a business, sell a book, or open up a language institute. However, you could open up the institute B]without even knowing the language. Even so, I read somewhere that like 10% of all businesses fail within the first year. Or was it 90%? Forgot. But even if you START a business, your opportunity cost is what you are making at your job! But if you want passive income, you need to either work your butt off, get lucky, or both.

Pick the one that interests you most, however difficult it may be, you will always do better with a language you love than one you think makes more sense.
