For the past year, I've been working on LearnYu, a free site to learn Chinese* using
artificial intelligence. Not just another language course - this one knows which words
and grammar points you have trouble with and automatically creates exercises tailored
to you.
Check it out: Automagic Chinese Course
So far I've been paying Chinese teachers and other collaborators out of my own
pockets, but this means that progress was slow. With so many people waiting to use the
course and the site almost ready (currently in beta), I'd really like to tell the
teachers to work on content full-time and get the lessons ready ASAP. For that I need
your support. Can you make a small contribution to the crowdfunding campaign? There
are neat rewards available, like study materials and early access to the site. If you
can't contribute, can you spread the word about this project?

Thank you so much!
The more free online courses there are, the better for us language lovers :-)
* Thanks to the support of the Esperanto Association of Britain, there will be an
adapted version for Esperanto within a few months.

Right now looks like all you have is Chinese. In the future I'd like to see other languages such French,
German, Italian, Japanese, etc.

Thanks to all who helped; it's much appreciated!
shk00design: sorry, can't do that. Creating this kind of site for Chinese has vastly
different requirements from creating this kind of site for languages written in the Latin alphabet, at least if you want something better than a cookie-cutter approach. LearnYu will only do Chinese for the foreseeable future, though we have an agreement with the Esperanto Association of Britain to allow them to adapt the code to the teaching of Esperanto. If we did do another language, it would be Japanese. But I'm a firm believer in doing one thing really well rather than trying to do everything in a mediocre way. So
we'll develop LearnYu up to teaching at least B2 level Chinese and then we may choose
another language to tackle. :-)
