Thanks for your summary! I know that every language I study will begin with a thick grammar textbook as well. I really like the idea of transcribing everything, because I've found it's the best way for me to remember concepts and actually understand them.

Then, I'm going to move on to the FSI course for listening/reading.

I can't wait!

Lingq Italian podcast owns. It's just at my level right now and I'm getting a lot out of
it.

Thanks for the mention of the Lingq podcasts. I just had a look and didn't realise they
were free to listen to. They seem to be at a good level, beyond basic but not lightning
fast.

EDIT: I just realised they are at different levels, some of which are suitable for me -
thanks again.

Yeah I've been listening to them more and more. It's a bit of a shame though - it doesn't
seem like they can all be accessed through the iTunes subscription. Are you having this
problem? It seems as though the only way to get them all is to download them individually
from the lingq website...

Il mio Italiano va piuttosto bene ma auguro che abbia avuto più tempo di praticare. Nei
mesi precedenti ho avuto la opportunità di praticare cuando mi piaceva a causa delle
vacanze. Oggigiorno con il nuovo lavoro solamente ho tempo cuando guido ogni mattina e
sera. D'altra parte ora ho un amico Italiano e parlo con lui per Skype una volta a
settimana che mi aiuta molto. Sto anche per finire Harry Potter e la Pietra Filosofale,
il mio primo libro Italiano. Dopo di che ho in programma di leggere più trascrizioni a
fianco podcast Italiani.

E como stai andando? Dopo di leggere il tuo blog mi sembra che stai facendo molto bene
con l'olandese, non è vero?

Il mio olandese rimane sempre molto indietro rispetto all'italiano, ma direi che va bene ugualmente. A volte mi esaspero un po', per via della differenza, che poi devo ricordarmi che c'era una volta, poco fa, quando anche nell'italiano non capivo molte cose. E così mi rilasso. :)

A proposito di podcast, che hai in mente? Ti potrei suggerire uno che ho ascoltato io nel passato e mi è piaciuto. Si chiama "Lezioni di filosofia di Salvatore Natoli" e sono piccoli brani, tra cinque e dieci minuti, ognuno un discorso interessante su qualche argomento filosofico. Magari sembra un po' difficile da seguire, ma in realtà non è così, io sono riuscito benissimo con esso, anche un anno fa.
