Yes it is. They speak Malagasy which is an Austronesian language, though with a complicated spelling, unlike languages like Indonesian.

Yeah, i wanted to talk about that but my Georgian is not good enough.
So, my mom and I are watching America's Got Talent right now. I told her that the
Georgian version is funny too and she was like, 'Yeah, Georgian people are hilarious.
Everyone knows that.' Well that's news to me! I didn't know American people knew that
Georgia existed, let alone that it's people are funny! ;)
(She said her grandma must have told her, since she lived there, haha).

Gamarjobat yvelas! I just want to say that I am still here, even though I haven't written in a while. I haven't
given up, I just haven't really felt much like studying lately. My mom had surgery so I have been taking care of
her. She's fine now, but I've just been interested in things other than studying lately. I will start again
eventually, probably when I start school. Hope eveything is going well for everyone else.

Gamarjoba! I thought you were all the way to Tbilisi and Mtskheta all that time! I'm still studying, trying to advance but it's hard. Hope you find a way to get back, too!

I just want to say that I am still here! I have just taken a little break because I felt
like doing other things besides language learning. But now that summer break has been
over for a while I am starting to be reminded of my goal of learning enough Georgian and
Russian for my trip next year. So I will gradually start getting back into it. I might
open another log for one of my other favorite languages...Icelandic! I have learned a
little in the past and I am starting to really get into it again, so much so that I would
like to have a log about it too. My next travel goal after Russia/Ukraine/Georgia will be
Iceland. Well, that and Australia, but obviously I don't need to learn a language for
that ;)

Good to hear from you! I'm learning Russian and Georgian slowly but steadily, I think
i've improved a bit. Your trip is still next year, so there's time. I wouldn't be
comfortable about going there myself, though, I'd wait till I got basic fluency in either
Georgian or Russian.

So, I'm finally getting back into things. Today I listened to some dialogues from Beginner's Georgian, but
that's it. Baby steps...:)
