6WC runs for 6 weeks. That's 42 days. 42 days is 42 x 24 hours.
It starts 1 second before Friday, 1st August, 2014 00:00:01 (00h 00m 01s)
It ends 1 second after Thursday, 11th September, 2014 23:59:59 (23h 59m 59s)

I didn't notice that today's already the 43rd day, and have still been posting to the bot. Need to undo them now. I wonder if that would change my ranking? :)

Thanks for pointing out the stop time. I removed my entries that I made on Friday.

I find the six-week challenge a bit...odd.

There's an announcement when it starts, but there's no end point.

No presentation of "winners" (top, top 3, top 5, whatever), no congratulations to people who studied, not even a
mention on the 6WC site that the challenge is done.

Am I the only one who finds the non-ending a bit underwhelming? I mean, I study just to study, and I like tracking
my time using the bot, but I guess I feel like a challenge should end with a bit of a bang.

Yeah, that's the feeling. However, I think I bother less (it's like these German movies without proper endings I've seen recently somewhat prepared me, haha).

Sprachprofi organises 6WCs but she's not a staff of HTLAL, not even a moderator, she just does it because she's nice. So, as long as the 6WC works, I'm happy. That's also why I help answer technical questions when I can, and I announce my results when no one else does, to bring in a bit of liveliness. You can do that, too.

It is a bit odd. Also the six weeks seems to carry on forever. The bot just keeps recording times, so officially I ended in 11th place but I've fallen to like 13th or something.

But it was a good exercise in how to study.

I'm afraid Sprachprofi has the same problem as many of us - the challenge is far more exciting in the beginning.
Also, remember that it wasn't over in other timezones when it ended for you. If you think someone does't know that it's over, tweet at them, but I don't think you can say you officially ended 11th just because that was the position at that time.
That said, I think it was good when the bot used to point out that the challenge is over and please only submit what you did before it ended.
