Pent Nurmekund (1905 - 1997) is one of those whom Gunnemark names, asserting that he is one of the few polyglots whose achievements are indubitable, not legendary. Apart from stating that he was Estonian, founded the Oriental Department at the University of Tartu, and knew 80 languages, however, Gunnemark says nothing. Does anyone know anything about this man?

I've been trying t track him down for a while. There doesn't even seem to be much about him on the internet. You'd think such a gifted linguist as he no doubt was would have left more of an impression.
As I recall even the Wiki is silent on Pent Nurmekund.
