Professor Richard Steiner deciphered what is probably the most ancient Semitic text ever discovered. Here's a link to the story on MSNBC, and here's a link to the complete text of the lecture (in Hebrew) given by Prof. Steiner at the latest assembly of the Hebrew Academy in Jerusalem.

I'm waiting for an article in a peer-reviewed journal and/or some direct quotes and their explanations before judging. Until then, I remain the sceptic.
