I'd like my son to learn Einstein's Theory of Relativity from the original German. The German text is not difficult to obtain, but I have been unable to find an audio book. I am not a native German speaker and I think it is very important for my son to hear a native speaker read the text in addition to any guidance I give him. So far I have searched amazon.de using "Relativitätstheorie" and came up empty. Can anyone with better German skills help me find a German audio recording of Einstein's seminal work? Thank you!

I’m not sure this is what you’re looking for, but the only thing that comes close to what you describe that I’ve found is this 2-CD set with original recordings of Einstein himself.

Albert Einstein
Verehrte An- und Abwesende!
Originaltonaufnahmen 1921-1951

Herausgegeben von Klaus Sander
2-CD-Set, 115 Minuten
Booklet, 32 Seiten
ISBN-10: 3-932513-44-4
ISBN-13: 978-3-932513-44-2

Here’s the pulisher’s website but the CD-set is also available on amazon.de.

Here’s the content of the CDs:

CD1: Die gegenwärtige Lage der theoretischen Physik / Meine Relativitätstheorie / Völkerverständigung als Aufgabe des Rundfunks / Jüdische Gemeinschaft / Mein Glaubensbekenntnis / I am an American / On the Present War and the Future of Europe / Über den gegenwärtigen Krieg und die Zukunft Europas / The Common Language of Science / Die übernationale Sprache der Wissenschaft

CD2: On the Road to Liberation / Operation Crossroads / World Government / The Scientist as Citizen in the Atomic Era / National Security / Physics, Philosophy and Scientific Progress / The Fundamental Task of the University / On Universal Military Training

Even though there’s a track called Meine Relativitätstheorie I doubt very much that it is an integral reading of Einstein’s seminal work.

I hope this helps.
