A simple way to pick out some would be to pick threads which have the most useful votes

Retelling a story as if you're talking to a friend is a good method for learning a
foreign language provided that you have enough vocabulary in the target language. For most people like myself I can read something in French, understand the context but feel more comfortable translating it back to English than retelling it in French. Definitely a good way to learn a language. Another way that can be explored further is singing. Finding enough songs in a target language and follow along. Recently a video came out of China featuring the French Canadian singer Celine Dion singing the song "Molihua" or "Jasmine" alongside a Chinese singer. Although she doesn't know any Chinese to communicate but in the song she sounded so convincing that a Chinese would have mistaken her for a native. 2 persons have voted this message useful |
